Owning a car here is a huge undertaking, it is also not really a necessity since public transportation here is efficient. A potential car owner doesn’t only have to worry about getting a good car insurance but a huge amount of money will also be spent on COE, road taxes, season parking space, ERP charges and petrol. As much as it is convenient to have one I just don’t see how we can justify the long term costs of owning a car right now. Maybe in the future when we have a bigger family and more than one school going child we could consider it but as for now it is something we can live without.
Archives for February, 2010
These are by Miss Mint of Peppermint Creative, how cute huh?! I wanted to get these last night as I checkout the Kindergarten kit I got at half price off but I just don’t have enough funds in my paypal right now. No I didn’t spent my paypal money on lipozene but on Littlest Pet Shop collectibles, that’s me and my little girl’s new collection. We’re building it slowly and right now we have twenty cute pets. I would hoard if I could but I have a limited budget so a few here and there would do for now.
It’s so nice to browse online galleries for ideas and inspiration for my scrapbook pages. There’s a lot of talented scrappers out there and I love reading their stories through their pages, I’m drawn to pages with beautiful photos and a lot of journaling. I hope I would work more on my journaling skills as I want to tell more stories and not just scrap pictures this year. As I have less time scrapping these days I want to scrap meaningful pages, something that would mean something when I look at it in my albums someday. I spent a lot of time browsing galleries today though I should have been reading up on best vitamins for men as my husband asked me to do (lol I will do that later). I keep a journal in my desk for scrapping ideas that might come handy in the future.
Some new pages from me….

I used My everything by Jazzmin Designs available at After Five Designs for the layout above. I love the girly colors and cute elements of this kit. The paper flowers are from The Digi Files 11 (which is not available anymore).

I used Feel the love collab by After Five Designers for the layout above. There’s so many fun elements on this kit and my layout doesn’t show it all. Ohhh I love those pictures of my little girl.
Sometimes I wonder if taking diet pills would work for me, I want to lose those extra pounds but I’m stuck. I don’t know what else to do and it is very frustrating. I read about these pills and the it’s sideffects from http://www.dietpillsideeffects.com but I’m still too afraid to take the plunge. I know a lot of people are using these pills to help them lose weight so I know it is safe but I don’t think I’m ready for that yet. Of course it would be nice to see the numbers drop on the scale, maybe someday I would have enough courage to just go ahead and do it.
This cute and dainty kit is called Tea Time by Kristen Rice available at After Five Designs. Ohhh it’s such a pretty kit, and I have a lot of girly photos to go with this. I love having a little princess, there’s so many beautiful kits that I can use. I wish I’d have the time though, I’m so stressed most days I’m rethinking my need for anti wrinkle creams. I might need more than just moisturizer now that I don’t get my much needed rest.
I thought now that my daughter goes to preschool I’ll have a bit of spare time in my hands to scrap some layouts but it turned out I was wrong. I find myself busier everyday as we prepare to go to school and then do more educational activities when she gets home (after her nap of course). I drop her off and pick her up five days a week, at least I’m out of the house and I hope climbing up flights of stairs instead of using the lift acts as fat burners for me. I’m still struggling to find balance, at times I feel overwhelmed because this little one needs my attention and at the same time I have other things I need to accomplish as well.
This kit is free with the purchase of $10 in products through February 19th. How awesome is this kit?! It is perfect for boy pages but versatile enough for all sorts of scrapbook layouts as well. I haven’t scrapped with this yet but I plan to use this on a page I’m planning to do for my dear husband’s photos. I rarely scrap about him (bad I know) so I’m hoping to make a layout soon.
I’m excited about my daughter’s upcoming Chinese New Year celebration at school, this would be her first and I really hope to get nice pictures. It’s nice that she’ll get to wear her Qi Pao dress that day, I got her one last month for the sake of having cute photos only I didn’t know it would come in handy. I know now that I will get her a nicer one next year as she would need one for sure. I have so much to do today that I don’t have time to look up eczema causes right now, I’ll do it tonight I guess if I’m now exhausted from the day’s work. Sometimes it’s really hard to find balance and keep everything on track.
I love how small netbooks are and how easy it is to carry it around when we go out. My husband can surf the net while I enjoy my coffee at Starbucks and little girl can watch her favorite Mickey Mouse clubhouse and Sesame Street videos too. I just can’t use it for scrapping since the screen is too small for me to actually finish a page without straining my eyes. Like I said it is good for on the go use, definitely a good buy for us so now we don’t have to bring the bigger laptop when we go out.
