A new layout from me. I used Happy Go Lucky by Kristin Cronin-Barrow available at Sweet Shoppe Designs for this one. I love this cute photo of my little girl playing with her stuff toys when we came from from school. Ahhh you gotta love the small bits of life captured on photos and documented in a scrapbook layout. This is why I love scrapbooking, years from now I might forget the story behind this photo but thankfully I have a layout that would remind me.
I noticed my little girl sniffing a little bit when I picked her up from school yesterday, my night time it was indeed colds and a little cough too. I am positive she got the virus from school so I didn’t let her go to school today and she probably won’t be going tomorrow as well. My dear husband made sure the dehumidifier in our bedroom was working before we went to bed. My friends warned me that kids tends to get sick more often when they start school because they pass the germs around while they’re at school. Eventually this will build up a stronger immune system so they will less likely to fall sick after the first year of school. I just hope this is true.
I’ll be doing our budget for next month later this afternoon. I do not look forward to doing this but alas it is important to have this ready before the end of the month. But of course I would take budgeting to calculating funeral costs any day. Lucky for me I found a few free budgeting iPhone apps that I could use so it should make things easier and less time consuming for me. I desperately want to scrap so the less time I spend on crunching numbers the more time I’ll have scrapping, I guess I should get to it now.
January is almost over and before I realize it March will sneak up on me and it’s my birthday month. My husband won’t be thinking about gifts for her (meaning me lol) since he already got me an iPhone and I think this qualifies for me birthday gift. Knowing him though he will still pick something up for me, yes I’m quite spoiled (lol). I don’t feel like celebrating though, birthday celebrations are fun when you’re in your teens or early twenties but when you’re nearing your thirties it’s not so fun anymore. I stopped having birthday parties for myself years ago and now I just celebrate it with my family.

It feels good to be scrapping again, I should have more photos of hubby and me to scrap with. Most of the times it’s always the little girls photos on my screen, it’s time to make pages about us too…our life, our love, our memories.
I was too busy with the little girl these days I almost forgot to mail the life insurance quote I promised my mom a week ago. Good thing I was rummaging through my purse looking for my mobile phone charm this evening, I found it on one of the pockets. I have noted this on my to do list and will mail it after I drop the little girl off at school tomorrow. It’s really useful to keep several stamps at home for when you need to mail letters, I will give her a call tomorrow so she knows she should keep an eye for my letter.
What a fun and sweet kit by Karina Designs available at After Five Designs. I love the colors here and the mix of embellishments she put together here are fantastic. I can’t wait to scrap using this kit, I must get photos of me and my dear husband first. I’d love to make more layouts of us for Valentines Day.
I got this from only a buck at The Lilypad, I love Tadpole Tuesday! I’m always looking for fun new templates to use for my pages. Since I don’t have much time to scrap these days templates are a big help. I was reading about mesothelioma when I remembered it was Tuesday, good thing I went to see what they have on sale otherwise I would have missed this template pack. I can’t wait to make some layouts using one of the templates in this set. I’ve been meaning to scrap about my little girl’s first day at school for weeks.
We were at Courts last weekend and I can’t help but be amazed at how stylish and thin the new Samsung HDTV at the display shelves. It would be nice to have one just like that for our living, nice yes but not practical. I mean what are we going to do with our regular 42″ flatscreen TV? It’s not something I would just throw away just because I want a new TV (it would be bad for the environment for one) and it’s still working perfectly. I’ll just admire the new TVs at the mall then, that won’t hurt anyone especially our wallets 
My friend who lives in the US is planning to start a small business back home. She’s been thinking about this for a while now and she even got a business plan writer to make sure that her ideas are put into paper. She wants to start small and move her way up, she’s saved up for this for three years and she’s really thought about all the aspects of the business. She will be going back home in a few months to start the ball rolling.
