This is the page I did using pictures from my little girl’s first writing lessons. She loved working with her markers tracing the letters and shapes on her worksheets. I’m already thinking of more fun activities we could do together, I really want to make learning fun for her (and me).

The Flipper

This is one of the photos I took at theme park a few weeks ago…

The place would be a bit boring for grown ups looking for thrilling rides or huge skateboard ramps but the kids will love it there (my daughter did). The kiddie rides were fun and my little girl was so happy that she couldn’t contain herself. For me and my hubby, seeing the little girl’s face filled with pure delight made us very happy. It was a great family day indeed.

Let’s go riding

Having a car lets you go places whenever you want, no more hailing for cabs or waiting for the bus…you can go when you want to go. Of course having a car also means you have to pay for petrol, road taxes, parking, COE, ERP charges and car accessories too. In a small country with little traffic and convenient public transportation having a car is not considered a necessity. One can choose to have one or not have one but still get to places you want to go. It’s just a matter of choosing what you think is best.

Here’s some new layouts from me. I finished these two a few weeks ago but I didn’t get the chance to post them here. I used some photos from our day at the theme park in these pages….

I hope to scrap more pages this week. Lots to do so little time….

This fun kit created by Camila in honor of her sweet Lola is so colorful and bright. I wished dog supplies come in various fun and colorful packaging too. Well I don’t have a dog so I can’t really say I’ve browsed my local pet store’s aisles. The closes me and my little girl got to a pet store was to look at the cute little puppies by the shop window. I’ve thought about getting a puppy but I just don’t think we can handle it. I guess I’ll just stick to my virtual pets….

I love browsing online for ideas and inspiration for my scrapbook pages. As much as I want to create my pages the way I wanted, seeing wonderful layouts online in the galleries as well as magazines (such DAm and Creating Keepsakes) gives me ideas on how to use elements differently. I pick up a few tricks here and there. This month’s DAM issue is filled with lovely layouts and great products for your pages. I also love the colors of the cover this month :)

Not Scrappy

I haven’t been able to scrap for the past couple of days. Aside from comparing water filters online and on newspaper ads I’m also spending lots of time with my little girl. She’s learning how to write (or should I say tracing letters and shapes) and she’s having lots of fun. I have to stop by the bookstore this week to get us more supplies. I think there’s a DIY shop at the mall as well, I might check out the water filters they have while we’re there.

Celebrate with Catscrap!

Catscrap is celebrating their birthday with a bang. Aside from the sale they’re having challenges and contests on their blog too. I am looking forward to the 24th when they will have a 40% discount on their kits. I’m eyeing for 2 kits there, there’s lots of other nice kits but I’m sticking to my budget. While I’m waiting for the sale I might as well browse online for wireless alarms. I need one that’s user friendly for my parent’s house. They don’t need anything too complicated because me and hubby are not there to guide them through the installation and usage. Now to find one that is good enough at a reasonable price….

New Layout Share

Sharing some of my weekend layouts, it feels good to scrap so many pages in one day….

This layout was made using elements and papers from various kits. I realized I’ve become a one kit scrapper so now I’m branching out and trying to mix and match elements from different kits. Mostly the items I used for this layout is from the *Limited Edition* Summer Samplers: Week 4 from Sweet Shoppe Designs.

This layout was made using Shawna Clingerman’s new kit called You Don’t Know Me.

This fun layout was made using Choo Choo by Misty Cato. It was the perfect kit for these photos. Eventhough it was a boyish type of kit I love the wordy bits and the colors.

SPD Retirement Sale

This is the sale you don’t want to miss, trust me on this. Huge discounts on gorgeous kits, after the sale these kits will be gone for good so buy what you like. I picked up a few items myself. I was wondering how did I miss them when they first came out. I hope I could find great discounts like these in real life. I need a few ceramic tile for a project, it’s really not urgent so I’m gonna wait a bit until I find a good deal. Anyway back to scrapping, it has been a good week for me scrapping and designing wise. I just wished I have more time to do more.
