I visit forums frequently and there are times that I’ve come across threads that makes me question where do I draw the line between sharing my personal here and keeping stuff for myself. I know we are all free to say what we want to say and share as much as we can about ourselves in such public groups, is there such a thing at too much information? As for me I think there are just topics that should be discussed in private or among friends and not posted where everyone and anyone can read about it. For instance you won’t find me asking randomly about incontinence products on a forum. While others might be comfortable discussing a topic like this with strangers I find that this is something I wouldn’t want to talk about with peole I barely know (even with friends for that matter). So I guess I can say I draw the line somewhere and I make sure I don’t cross it.
Some new layouts I want to share…
I don’t normally scrap objects but I took this photo myself and I was proud of it so I made this layouts. It is also about my husband and his hobby so it is scrap worthy. I used Holly’s new Portland kit for this layout. This kit is great, I especially love the metal elements. I don’t scrap masculine layouts often but this kit made it so easy. The title fits the layout and theme I was going for, yes I don’t always understand his hobbies and I could say the same for him. He likes cars and I like making layouts, very different but both make us happy. Good thing we don’t need an auto insurance with the cars he like to built from scratch.
I’m so thrilled to be hosting the Cookie Decorating challenge this week. It is one of my favorite challenges here at SSD and I’m excited to show you my pick. I see a lot of amazing layouts in the gallery everyday so it is a tough choice but I went ahead with Corey’s (aka Junebug) From Head To Toe layout. I just love the layering of papers and the white space, such a gorgeous design composition.

Yes more new layouts from me. This time it’s me using goodies from Kasia Designs at Shabby Pickle Designs. If you haven’t seen her products yet then you’re missing out because she is AWESOME. I’m very lucky to be on her team (and SPD’s store CT) too.

That’s it for me. I’m going to do more scrapping today. I have another project coming up so maybe I’ll start working on that as well.

My order was above $10 so I also got this great kit for free….
These ladies are great scrappers turned designers and I can’t wait to unzip my files and see their work up close. I know I’ll be thrilled though, everything looks really nice and well made. I have to read about unlocked cell phones first because my youngest sister’s cell phone got stolen a few days ago by one of her classmates (sad I know) so we want to find our if the culprit could still use it if she switch cell phone providers. Of course she could have sold it somewhere by now but I need to do this for my sister. She’s a bit upset that she is now using my dad’s old phone.
I only have around 100gb free space on my current external hard disk so I wasn’t so happy about that. I didn’t want to delete any files stored in it as well to free up some space so I told my husband I needed more space. Okay so 100gb is still a lot of space really but with the amount of stuff I get weekly and me designing I think it would be better to have more space right? So he got me a 320gb hard disk last week and I’m thrilled. Now I can keep my kit designs and layouts in a different hard disk. I think I need HDMI switches though, I’m not sure I have to ask my husband about that. I also need to back up the pictures on the other hard disk. I have about two months worth of photos not backed up yet.
Yes I’m posting some of my latest layouts here again, yay me. I’m trying to be good and update this blog more often so here’s what I got…
I used Walking In The Woods by Coralie Designs on the layout above. I’m playing with photo treatments again too. If you want to try it out yourself just go to devianart and you’ll find tons of free actions there.
I’m trying to keep up with more birthday layouts these days since I’m almost a year behind I think this is a great idea, lol. I used Dani Mogstad’s Birthday Cake 2 kit for this one and I think it works really well with my photo.
Did you miss it? I certainly didn’t (lol). There were loads of fun items at Little Dreamer Designs but since I’ve had it up to my eyeballs with kits at the moment I decided to skip on that one. Instead I got a bunch of templates from Michelle Filo. I love love love her templates. Here’s what I got from her store…
Now aren’t these templates wonderful? They’re a steal too. Shopping for these were as much fun as shopping for baby clothes I tell you. I just love the layering of papers here, I love to put layers and layers of papers and embellishments on my layouts so these are perfect for me. As for the castle album templates I’ll be using that for the little girl’s photos. I’m having a Princess themed party here at home on her actual birthday so this fits perfectly.
I have a few of my recent layouts to share here. I am a bit slow on the scrapping front lately because I’m doing something extra special right now so that’s been keeping me busy. It is also the little girl’s birthday soon so that’s keeping me busy too. Now on with the layouts…
I used Jacque Larsen’s element packs and a lot of items from the September BYOC products at The Lilypad for this layout. I love how this one turned out by the way.
