Cute Door Hanger

I love how this door hanger turned out. I made this using Michelle Filo’s Hybrid template available at Little Dreamer Designs. I picked up the Kaisercraft door hanger at my local scrapbook store. It was so easy to make and I love the end result. I just made a digital layout, printed and cut it accordingly, adhered to my door hanger and added real embellishments. This is for the little girl’s room, and she likes it a lot too. I’m hoping to do more hybrid projects in weeks to come.

My Quickpage Albums

(click on the images to go to the store)

These were released at Gina Miller Designs last week. I had fun making these and was able to make two albums for myself. Oh and speaking of GMD…

Don’t forget about her 12 Days of Christmas for some great discounts. Look forward to more fun hybrid projects from me too :)

Birthday Album

Love those ribbons. This is the birthday album I did for my daughter and I just love how colorful and fun it turned out. I better start hoarding more ribbons seeing I’ll be going to do more of these albums in weeks to come. It’s great that the sales staff from the local scrapbook store are friendly and helpful, they might not know anything about Fenterdren but they sure know about scrapbook stuff way more than I do. I like talking to them and asking for their opinions on things, like for instance the best adhesive and paper selection.

Christmas Hybrid Album

I’m into hybrid projects these days and I’m so happy I get to use the Christmas photos from last year to make this little album. I was actually look at car insurance for my mom but I decided to take a break and work on this one instead. I used one of the Basic Grey album I bought weeks ago and it turned out great. It’s good that I’m finally starting to use the paper scrapbooking stuff I’ve been hoarding for a while now. I’m sure this isn’t going to be the past project I’ll work on since I’m now a Quickpage Artist for Gina Miller.

My JYC Album

I finally had a chance to use by paper scrapbooking stuff and was able to finish my Journal Your Christmas 2008 album. I am pleased with how it turned out too. I used Zoe Pearn’s Be Merry paper kit by My Mind’s Eye for the cover. I added some gems and foam alpha from Thickers too.

All board books are 25% off until Wednesday at Peppermint Creative. This album is very similar to what I used for my friend’s guestbook except mine didn’t have any rounded corners. I’m thinking whether I should order or take my chances at my local scrapbook store, most likely if they don’t have anymore stock it would take weeks or months before they replenish again though. Of course this is cheap compared to the tv stand we want to buy for our bedroom so I wouldn’t feel guilty if I buy two, or four. It’s actually a good deal if only I could get a cheaper shipping rate. I really recommend this album for hybrid projects.

Birthday Guestbook

I finished this birthday guestbook for a friend last Saturday and I’m so pleased with how it turned out. It was the first time I used a Barebook for a project and I love it. I was used to using Maya Road albums for my projects but I couldn’t find the one I need at the time so I settled for an 8×8 Barebook instead. To my surprise it looked so much better, now I want to hoard albums like this one for my future projects. I’m not sure if my local scrapbook store will stock up again (I bought the last piece) so I may have to buy online.

Project for Christmas

Zoe Pearn released her 2009 calendar templates and I made this one above for her. It fits the Maya Road Calendar album perfectly. I was so happy to have this set because I just bought the album and have no idea how to start our calendar, now I know what to do. I just need to choose the photos for each month, print it then start doing the hybrid part. I have lots of ribbons in different colors (thanks to my hoarding) so that will definitely come in handy. After I’m all done with the calendar I can just delete the files from straightaway to save on laptop memory or perhaps make a copy in dvd then delete it.

Treat Toppers

One of the advantages of being a digital scrapbooker is that you can make your own invitation and other party related items yourself. I love designing my daughter’s invitation, loot bags and guestbook and I always get a lot of compliments about them during the party. One of my projects for my daughter’s party this year are treat bags.

This is the design of the treat topper. I used one of Bree Clarkson’s favor template available at Sweet Shoppe Designs for this one. The kit I used is Kay Miller’s Jungle Boogie available at Kay Miller Designs. The theme of hery party was jungle adventure so it was the perfect kit. I also used it for the invitation.

Treat Topper

I printed the pages in a matte photo paper like I do with my layouts. I was able to fit two treat topper layout in one A4 size photo paper.

I cut and fold the toppers, filled a clear sandwich bags with candies, closed it then stapled the treat toppers and voila we have treat bags!

It’s really easy to make and it looks really nice too.
