As a mom to a preschooler and a baby I’m always on the go. When my youngest was a newborn she didn’t like being in the city select stroller unlike her sister who can sleep and be comfortable in it when she was born. It was a challenge since I have to drop off and pick up my eldest as school. We’ve tried several strollers but it always ended up with her crying so much minutes after we put her in it. So for a few months I’ve been using carriers and wraps to take her with me wherever I go. It was great and she was happy in it but as the months pass by and she got heavier it became too much for my back. I knew I have to try the stroller one more time. I hope she will like being in it this time.
I plan to have a more active blog this year (no more slacking please) so I can post all my latest pages and scrappy finds in one place. It will be fun to share my finds and at the same time have a place for me to browse through my own layouts. I’ve neglected this blog for so long.
What are you plans for 2012?
I’m hoping I could watch Breaking Dawn with the rest of the Twilight fans when it opens in theatres all around the island. The chance of me watching it on it’s first day is highly unlikely so I don’t need to worry about stepping on stanchions as I make my way to the cinema. As long as I get to watch it on the big screen I’ll be a happy camper. I’ll probably ask some girlfriends if they want to watch together as hubby would need to stay home with the girls so I can go out. He won’t be a good company to bring anyway since he hasn’t read the books and it’s not his kind of movie. I hope the movie turns out to be good it would be worth leaving my babies at home.
We watch a lot of holiday movies during Christmas season and I’m already browsing online for movie suggestions as early as now. I have to checkout the dvds early so that I can be sure I get the movies I wanted. Of course mostly it will be family friendly and our daughter can enjoy. It would be nice if we have a canon projector for better viewing but I’m sure we’ll have to make do with the TV, it will be fun. I need to stock up on popcorn as well, we love popcorn on movie nights.
It’s that time of the year again, I need to design our Christmas cards and have it printed and shipped with enough time to send to our loved ones back home. I am actually contemplating on the idea of printing everything myself. I don’t have an Epson TM-T88V but I have a very good printer which I use for my hybrid projects so that should be good enough. I have photo paper as well so I’m good to go. Wait a minute, I need photos of the girls and to actually finish designing the cards first before I could do any printing. I should go do that first.
When I was planning for my baby girl’s christening I thought about what to give her godparents, I wanted something useful yet simple that they can use and I thought personalized rosaries were a great idea. I would have went with this idea if only I had more time to order and have it shipped to our home. It would have been something meaningful and beautiful they would remember the special day of our little girl by. It was okay though, we had a great service at church albeit short and with other families and our baby didn’t cry so much (except when she was hungry and wanted milk). We celebrated the occasion with our family and closest friends and everyone had a great time.

Ahhhh my baby girl is growing up way faster than I want her to and it makes me a little sad. I cherish everyday with her and just soak in all her baby goodness. There’s nothing I love more than snuggling with her and giving her lots of kisses when it’s just the two of us at home.
My cousin is so thrilled to finally get a call from a local hospital and she will start working as a nurse next month. It’s been almost a year since she passed the board exams but it was challenging for her to get a job at a hospital with thousands of other graduates applying for the position as well. She worked at a call centre for a while because she didn’t want to just stay at home and wait for the results of her interviews and then one day she finally received great news. I know she’ll definitely visit http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/Original-Scrubs/ to get a few scrubs she can wear at work. I told her it was a good decision to get a job even if it was not related to her field so now she have money to spend on things she will be needing for her dream job, well it’s not her dream job yet but it’s the first step towards getting there. She’s starting her career and I know she’s ready and very excited. There’s a lot of uniform for nurse, uniform for nurses, uniforms for nurses, uniforms for nursing, uniforms in nursing in the market today so I know she will have plenty of options and she can shop around for great bargains online and at local stores before she buys what she needs. I’m just so happy for her, I wish her all the best.
I need to set some time to get nice photos of my girls to use for our Christmas photo cards this year. I want to start early so I can have options, trying to take pictures of two kiddos is going to be a challenge so I want to take a few weeks and pick a perfect time where both girls are in the mood to smile for the camera. I need to get this done by the end of the month so I can place my order and make sure I receive the cards just in time for Christmas. It’s going to be a memorable holiday season, our first as a family of four.
